chapter 1 of anthem is telling about how life is in the home of the students. then when a person would turn 15 years of age, they would go to the home of that job and learn how to do it. the main character in the story,who is named Equality 7-2521 gets the job of street sweeper and has to go to the home of street sweepers and clean up the town.
